The Home Show floor will have dozens of kitchen companies. Here's a quick checklist to help you compare them properly, wherever you end up.
About Their Work & Quality
Do they design, manufacture, and install in-house, or outsource parts of the build?
Can they show you physical material samples, finish swatches, and working hardware?
Can they share photos, case studies, or references of finished kitchens in your area?
Are they registered members of recognized industry trade bodies, like Master Joiners or NKBA?
What board quality, drawer runners, and soft-close hardware brands do they specify?
Do they offer custom cabinet sizes, or are you restricted to standard modular units?
About Process, Cost & Warranty
Is the initial quote fully itemised and fixed-price, or an open cost estimate?
What is included in the price (e.g. trades, removal, benchtop) and what is extra?
What is their realistic timeline from design sign-off to delivery and installation?
What workmanship and structural warranties do they offer, and for how many years?
How do they manage site visits, laser measure-ups, and pre-installation checks?
Will you have a single dedicated project manager handling your build from start to finish?
